Celtic fans react on Twitter to John Guidetti's performance v Partick Thistle

Gary Mackay-Steven scored just 37 seconds into his Celtic debut, but John Guidetti's barren run continues.

Swedish striker John Guidetti can't get the ball to break for him in front of goal at the moment.

He is yet to score a goal for the club in 2015, and saw the club's newest frontman Gary Mackay-Steven score just 37 seconds into his debut in a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle.

Fellow signing from Dundee United, Scott Armstrong also scored, with Stefan Johansen adding a third.

While Manchester City loanee Guidetti did not net himself, he put in one of his better performances in recent weeks. Most notably he played a part in two of Celtic's goals, registering assists for Armstrong and Johansen in each half.

The 22-year-old was prolific when he came to the club, and had fans clamouring to urge Celtic to sign him up on a permanent basis.

This has quietened somewhat over the past two months, but his 11 goals in 22 appearances is still a respectable total. It's one which looks even better when taking into account he has nine assists to his name too.

The big problem he faces is the increased competition for places. Leigh Griffiths missed the game after picking up a knock in training, but if he returns for the trip to St Johnstone at the weekend and Mackay-Steven keeps his place, Guidetti could yet be the odd one out.

Here's a look at how fans reacted to his performance, with a lot of positivity...
