Saidy Janko enjoyed an absolute dream debut for Bolton Wanderers last night, helping them to a 3-1 home win over Fulham.
The defender signed on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day, with Andy Kellett going the other way in a surprise switch.
Janko is highly rated by the Red Devils, and showed exactly why by scoring a thunderous strike from the edge of the area to give Bolton the lead in the 80th minute with the game poised evenly at 1-1.
He had earlier played his part in his side's opener, delivering a cross for former Chelsea veteran Eidur Gudjohnsen to fire home to cancel out Shaun Hutchinson's opener.
Adam Le Fondre added a third, but it was Janko's goal and assist which left the home fans buzzing, with the 19-year-old Swiss youth international stealing the show.
The right-back had 70 touches, more than any other Bolton player apart from fellow new boy Barry Bannan, having four shots on goal in total, brimming with confidence.
Recording 83 per cent of his passes accurately, Janko attempted 14 crosses into the box, and was an attacking force throughout.
Voted as last season's Reserves Player of the Year at Old Trafford, he has taken to Championship football like a duck to water, and has a real chance to make a name for himself and get into the first team mix at Old Trafford next season.
