Queens Park Rangers picked up a huge 2-0 victory over Sunderland last night.
A trio of Queens Park Rangers players have been left delighted with the side's win over Sunderland last night.
Goals from Fer and Bobby Zamora finally ended the R's long wait for a Premier League away victory and fired them out of the relegation zone.
It suggests that life without Harry Redknapp may not be too hard for the West London side and they will be hoping to push on after finally breaking out of the bottom three.
If they perform to the level that they did at the Stadium of Light then they have every chance of avoiding the drop, and Barton was keen to point out the efforts of the entire team to pick up the victory.
Tremendous team performance. Whole squad effort. Thanks to fans who made the long journey North on a weekday. Plenty of hard work ahead.— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) February 10, 2015
Doughty, meanwhile, was understandably more focused on his own performance. The youngster came on to make his debut and it clearly meant a lot to him.
Struggling to capture that feeling in 140 characters. Fantastic performance, premier league debut and first away win. Absolutely delighted— Michael Doughty (@mdoughty92) February 10, 2015
The only downside of QPR's night was the injury that Fer picked up after scoring and the Dutchman was hoping that it will prove to be a minor one.
Well done lads! Hopefully my injury is not too bad! @QPRFC— Leroy Fer (@LeroyFer10) February 10, 2015
QPR's next game comes against Hull City and it looks to be another match which will be crucial to defining whether they will stay up or not come May.
