Arsenal star returned to social networking site after the club beat Leicester City.
This time there was no pre-game message. Perhaps Mesut Ozil had learned his lesson, may be he did not consider the match with Leicester City to have the necessary edge to get him fired up.
The German international wisely let his talking ahead of the match with Nigel Pearson's side take place on the pitch, playing an important part in both goals in the 2-1 win.
The Arsenal star sent a message out on Twitter after the game this time, acknowledging the Gunners had made lift difficult for themselves in the second half after conceding a goal to Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric.
The win takes Arsenal up to fourth in the Premier League, temporarily at least with Manchester United taking on Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
And wouldn't you know it, Arsenal are back above Tottenham Hotspur, two points ahead, after their rivals lost 3-2 to Liverpool at Anfield thanks to a Mario Balotelli winner.
Ozil's pre-game tweet against Spurs certainly would have left him a little embarrassed, and may just have taught him not to get ahead of himself, having now tasted his first North London derby defeat.
Yet now days later the tables appear to have turned. There will be further twists between now and the end of the season, but Ozil will surely be back smiling once again.
It's almost as if the loss to Spurs ever happened...
