Redfearn on the biggest problem at Leeds

Neil Redfearn says that biggest problem he has faced at Leeds United is to overcome the deficiencies of his predecessors.

Redfearn took over after a disastrous spell for the club under the tutelage of Dave Hockaday and Darko Milanic and he says overcoming that form has been a big obstacle.

“The biggest problem I have had is dragging us away from this 10 games that I didn’t have when we picked up six points," he said to the Yorkshire Post

“Every time you mirror the league table and look at it, then it reflects that, every time we have a blip."

Gray wants cutting edge

Stuart Gray believes that Sheffield Wednesday would be performing better in the Championship if their strikers had been more clinical this season.

The Owls have struggled for goals this term and whilst they are still competing for an upper mid-table spot, Gray feels they could have achieved more.

“If we’d have converted our chances we’d be higher up the league," Gray told the Yorkshire Post. "That’s the Championship, the sheer honesty of it. If you don’t turn up you get beat."

Clough on Porter exit

Nigel Clough has admitted that Chris Porter was unfortunate not to be given more of an opportunity of Bramall Lane.

The Sheffield United boss sold Porter to Colchester United before the close of the window and he admits that the front-man was a little hard done by, because of his lack of first-team chances.

“He was probably a little bit unfortunate not to get more of a ‘go’ recently but we’ve got other options in there which was a shame for him," he said to the Sheffield Telegraph.

“We’ll always to and let players go if they aren’t going to be involved."
