To be played on Wednesday 11th February 2015 at 19:45. Venue: St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton.
Odds: Southampton 7/10, Draw 11/4, West Ham 15/4
The Saints will head into the clash at St. Mary’s Stadium on the back of a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
That victory on Saturday saw Southampton return to winning ways in the Premier League and maintain their chances of a top-four finish this season.
West Ham are also striving for the top four, but Sam Allardyce’s side are struggling for wins at the moment.
The London outfit will head into Wednesday’s clash on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at home.
The Hammers would have won that encounter at the Boleyn Ground had not they conceded a late equaliser.
West Ham still have a chance of finishing in a European place, but they need to start winning games.
“West Ham, we know, is a totally different team than in the beginning of the season when we beat them in the away game. It will be more difficult than that on Wednesday.”
“Southampton have managed to keep on winning, but we've let leads slip and ended up drawing too many times. They've lost their last league game against Swansea City which we've studied”
