The Spanish defender is aware of the Tottenham Hotspur striker's capabilities.
The forward has been in fine form during his breakout season in the Premier League, scoring 28 goals in all competitions, including 15 in the Premier League.
The latest of those were a brace against arch-rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday, with his fine headed second securing a win for Spurs and increasing his growing popularity with the Tottenham faithful.
Now, Spaniard Moreno has admitted that he and his teamates are wary of the talents that the young forward possesses, but he is looking forward to testing himself against the Premier League’s hottest talent regardless.
“You can see from his performances he’s a very good player,” said Moreno.
“He’s very dangerous. He can score goals and he can create chances, we have to be very careful of him. Not only him, but the whole Tottenham team. I’m certainly looking forward to facing that challenge against him.”
When the two sides met earlier in the season it resulted in a comfortable 3-0 win for Brendan Rodgers side, with full-back Moreno scoring an impressive individual effort in an even more impressive win for his team.
Both sides head into the return date on Tuesday in fine form and challenging for a highly coveted Champions League place, with the race for qualification to Europe’s premier competition fiercely contested by a number of clubs. Moreno though, is just focusing on collecting another win.
“My first goal I scored for Liverpool in the Premier League was certainly unforgettable,” added Moreno.
“I think it was the best goal of my career. So I hope we can win again and if I score another goal, then even better."
