Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Tuesday’s Premier League clash between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield will have goals.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham are in good form at the moment and are fighting for a place in the top four this season.
Liverpool and Tottenham both play attacking football, and Owen believes that there will be goals at Anfield on Tuesday.
“Spurs pressed, harried and eventually broke Arsenal’s will in the North London Derby on Saturday and for a side that have played so many games already this season their energy was a real eye-opener,” the former Liverpool striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Reds have only lost one of their last 20 PL home games with Spurs but this is a Spurs side who have won five of their last seven games on the road; I expect to see goals.”
Who will win?
Owen’s prediction about the game at Anfield having goals is likely to come true, but the key question is who is going to win.
The Tottenham players will be full of confidence after defeating North London rivals Arsenal, but Liverpool are no easy pushovers.
Despite dropping points against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, the Merseyside outfit remain in firm contention of a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
The first goal will be key in this encounter. If Spurs get it, then they are very likely not to lose. But if Liverpool score first, then there is a distinct chance that they will edge past Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
