Liam Cooper praised his teammates after Leeds United's win at Reading.
Leeds United defender Liam Cooper congratulated his teammates via Twitter after the club's impressive victory away at Reading.
Cooper had missed the game through injury, with Giuseppe Bellusci and Sol Bamba partnering each other at centre-back for the first time.
Bamba was handed the captaincy and the decision from Neil Redfearn paid off, with the defence keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win.
The result was the perfect way for the club to swiftly bounce back from a surprise 1-0 home loss at the weekend to Brentford.
Goals came from midfielders Luke Murphy and Sam Byram, with striker Steve Morison laying on an assist, and himself hitting the post.
Leeds have now lost just one of their last six games, and climb up to 17th position, but are just three points behind 11th place Birmingham City.
Next up they face strugglers Millwall, before a trip to promotion chasing Middlesbrough, who saw former Leeds player Jonathan Woodgate score at 35-years-old on his first Championship game of the season in a 2-1 win over Blackpool.
