Confirmed: Arsenal v Leicester lineups: Sanchez returns

Arsenal Stadium Outside

Here are the teams as Arsenal host Leicester City at the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will want his team to react positively after defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby last weekend. The Gunners are the heavy favourites going into this game and they could be back above Spurs by the end of the evening if they can win and Liverpool do them a favour at Anfield. Arsenal struggled to cope with the way Spurs smothered them in the derby last Saturday and they need to show they can recover and make the most of their home advantage.

This is a huge game for Leicester City who continue to struggle away at the wrong end of the Premier League table. Nigel Pearson has escaped any punishment for his confrontation with James McArthur in the match against Crystal Palace and the focus can now move back to the football. The Foxes need to start putting points on the board quickly because it’s going to be a long remaining few months if they can’t make things a bit easier for themselves. They’ll need to be superb and hope that Arsenal are poor to get a result.
