A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

The Metro claims Chelsea are holding talks with the agent of Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi.

The 21-year-old is reportedly valued at around £18 million and is described as one of the most sought after strikers in the world by the paper.

They also claim Liverpool and Real Madrid as rivals to Chelsea for his signature.

ESPN has reported that Chelsea expect to have Cesc Fabregas available for selection against Everton.

Fabregas has been out of action over the last couple of weeks as he’s been suffering with a hamstring problem.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho said it was a conscious decision to protect him from the game against Aston Villa last weekend.

The Daily Star reports that Wolfsburg are preparing a new contract for Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne to fend off interest from clubs interested in him.

Chelsea have been named as one of those clubs according to the paper along with Manchester United and current Premier League champions Manchester City.

De Bruyne has been in the Bundesliga since leaving Chelsea.
