Christophe Galtier has been tipped to shine in the Premier League by Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international, who moved to the Bundesliga giants from St Etienne having thrived under Galtier, believes the ASSE manager has all of the necessary attributes to be a success in the English top-flight.
Is he a candidate for Newcastle United?
Despite the Dortmund man’s glory endorsement, Galtier remains an outside shot to land the top job at St James’ Park, despite previous reports linking the Frenchman with the club.
Galtier has already guided St Etienne to the French League Cup in 2013, the club’s first major domestic honour since winning the last of their 10 Ligue 1 titles back in 1981.
Current caretaker manager John Carver has been named as Newcastle boss until the end of the season and, should the Magpies thrive during that time, he could land the job on a permanent basis.
