Liverpool are reportedly sweating over the fitness of three players ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool are sweating over the fitness of three players ahead of their game against Tottenham Hotspur according to London24.
Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Lucas are all rated as doubts for the Reds, as the North Londoners prepare for a difficult trip to Anfield.
Lucas has a thigh problem while L24 reports that Coutinho and Sterling will have fitness tests ahead of the game to assess whether they can feature during the match.
Coutinho and Sterling would be big losses for the Liverpool first team because of the attacking talent and potential they both boast.
Lucas would also be a big miss because of the protection he provides to the Liverpool defence, which is significant considering the form shown by Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in recent matches.
Coutinho is carrying a knee problem, while Sterling has a foot injury and it will be interesting to see whether Rodgers starts either player considering the form Tottenham are currently in.
Liverpool head into the game off the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw in the Merseyside derby against Everton over the weekend.
