Everton played out a goalless draw with Liverpool at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Toffees headed into the Merseyside outfit on the back of a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace away from home.
After what proved to be a rather uneventful affair at the Goodison on Saturday evening, Roberto Martinez’s side had to settle for a point.
Everton had 45% of the possession, took six shots of which one was on target, and earned themselves three corners in front of 39,621 spectators.
Meanwhile, Liverpool had 55% of the possession, took 17 shots of which six were on target, and earned themselves six corners.
The result means that Everton are now 12th in the Premier League table with 27 points from 24 matches, seven points above the relegation zone.
After the match, James McCarthy, who returned from a hamstring injury against Liverpool, and Aaron Lennon, who joined Everton from Tottenham Hotspur on loan on transfer deadline day, took to social networking site Twitter to have their say.
