Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp has suggested there are eight positives to Harry Kane's game at the moment.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp has suggested in the Daily Mail there are eight strengths to Harry Kane’s game at the moment.

The Spurs striker continued his great form for the club this season, with two decisive goals in the North London derby as Tottenham went above Arsenal after winning 2-1.

Redknapp has been left purring over Kane’s current form, stressing the current benefits he provides to the Tottenham first team.

“He takes up intelligent positions like his hero Teddy Sheringham. He’s got the strength to hold up the ball and hold off opponents. He can link up with team-mates or take the ball and run with it,” wrote Redknapp.

“He can shoot with either foot, hit them from distance or from close-range and he is outstanding in the air. He takes penalties, free-kicks and he works as hard as anybody on the pitch.”

He’s also now proven that he can do the business in big games having played well against Chelsea and now Arsenal over the weekend.

The challenge for him and his manager is going to be finding ways to stay effective over the rest of the season.

The big games and difficult challenges are coming thick and fast for the club, with a match against Liverpool next up on the fixture schedule.

Kane needs to perform in that game to maintain his momentum, but it’s also important that his teammates step up and take a little bit of the pressure away for him.

If Pochettino can continue getting the balance right, the side will be in great shape.
