Kane scored both goals in a 2-1 win against rivals Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal in the North London Derby yesterday. The hero on the day was once again Harry Kane. The 21-year-old scored both of Spurs’ goals in the 2-1 win, cancelling out an earlier Mesut Ozil opener.
His performance has once again rubber stamped his place as the number one striker at Tottenham. That is a great boost for the club, whose ability to develop top young talent is looking more and more evident on a weekly basis.
In reserve the expensive foreigners Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor are toiling in comparison. In fact, Adebayor was not even included in the Tottenham squad yesterday.
The performances and continued selection of Kane and what looks like a lack of genuine competition mus inspire young strikers at Tottenham, such as Joshua Onomah.
Onomah made his Tottenham debut earlier this season, facing Burnley in the FA Cup and is a highly thought of young player at White Hart Lane.
Yesterday Onomah was very impressed with the performance of Kane, Tweeting:
Time will tell if he can follow in his footsteps.
