The wrong Graham Salisbury thanks Leeds fans for 'lovely messages' on Twitter

Leeds United East Stand

It seems Leeds fans weren't happy with the man they thought officiated their game with Brentford...

Graham Salisbury is a name that has become synonymous with Leeds United's 1-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds were denied two penalties and believe they should have had a decision go in their favour in the build-up to Alex Pritchard's winner for the Bees.

And the referee at the centre of the scandal was a certain Mr Salisbury.

Which was unfortunate for another Mr Salisbury on Twitter...

Naturally, it appears Leeds fans weren't too pleased with the referee after the Brentford game and took to social media to express their displeasure.

Unfortunately for both supporters and Salisbury himself, it was the wrong man...

Leeds' defeat sees them sit 20th in the Championship table, ahead of a trip to Reading on Tuesday night. High-flying Brentford, meanwhile, are fourth.

As Neil Redfearn and co said after the game, however, it could have been very different had the man with the whistle taken a different view to several key incidents.

At least the wrong Salisbury was kind enough to thank Leeds fans for their 'lovely messages.' One would suspect the actual referee would take a different approach...
