Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 2-1 at White Hart Lane in the North London derby on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur maintained their impressive run of results on Saturday when they got the better of North London rivals Arsenal 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side headed into the Premier League encounter full of confidence and on the back of a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion away from home last weekend.
Spurs, though, fell behind as early as the 11th minute when Mesut Ozil found the target from close range.
However, Tottenham stepped up their game thereafter and launched a remarkable comeback to win the encounter 2-1.
England Under-21 international striker Harry Kane scored both the goals, his second coming just four minutes from time.
Among those who attended the game at White Hart Lane was Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who must have delighted with his team’s performance and final result.
Prior to the match, Levy was caught on camera full of smiles (as shown in the picture above), and one suspects that he must have over the moon with Spurs’ win.
Levy’s long-term goal has been to lead Tottenham into the Champions League, and it looks like it could happen next season.
At the moment, Spurs are fifth in the Premier League table with 43 points from 24 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Manchester United, who play later today.
