The Slovenian scored, but Rangers still lost 2-1 to Raith Rovers.
There was plenty of controversy on Transfer Deadline Day when Newcastle United sent five of their young talents out on loan to Glasgow Rangers. Shane Ferguson, Remi Streete, Haris Vuckic, Gael Bigirimana and Kevin Mbabu.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has recently increased his control in the Old Firm club so this was seemingly seen as a good way to get some of the young players at Newcastle playing regular football.
Earlier in the week the controversy grew stronger, when Rangers boss Kenny McDowall seemed to suggest he would have to play the Newcastle boys if fit, something the Rangers chief executive Derek Llambias refuted.
Today saw Rangers play their first game since those moves occurred, but only two featured. Mbabu, Ferguson and Bigirimana were all unavailable so just Streete and Vuckic got the nod for a 5th round cup tie v Raith Rovers.
For Vuckic, it was certainly a good day at the office. The Slovenian scored on debut and he looks like being a welcome addition, even if the circumstances appear slightly fishy.
But despite his goal Rangers still lost the game 2-1.
