The young talent had an excellent game in only his second Premier League start.
Everton and Liverpool went head to head in the Merseyside Derby yesterday. What ensued was a scrappy affair, ending 0-0 at full-time with little to write home about.
Liverpool had several top performances on the night. Emre Can in particular impressed at the back.
Liverpool fans also got to enjoy the presence of Jordon Ibe from the start. The attacker spent much of this season on loan at Derby County and was very impressive at the iPro Stadium. Liverpool recalled him recently and he is now a major part of the first-team at Anfield.
He played on the right-hand side of midfield, acting as a wing-back for much of the game and was very impressive in just his second Premier League start for the club.
He nearly capped off the performance with a special goal, smashing a strike off the post in the first-half from range
Ibe has now taken to Twitter to discuss his start. He was seemingly disappointed to come away from the game without all three points but he was pleased to shine in his first Merseyside Derby.
Wasn't the result we was looking for, but overall happy to get MOTM award and enjoyed the Derby..… http://t.co/z4nlvRSpPq— Jordon Ibe (@IbeJordon) February 8, 2015
Hopefully this is just the start of an impressive future in the game for Jordon Ibe.
