Top five stats from Chelsea's weekend victory featuring Hazard and Ivanovic

Following Chelsea's 2-1 Premier League victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park, we bring you all the best Opta Stats.

Goals from Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovic secured Chelsea a 2-1 victory away at Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

Belgium international Hazard broke the deadlock in the eighth minute, only for that strike to be cancelled out by Villa defender Jores Okore shortly after the restart. However, Ivanovic struck 24 minutes from time to secure all three points for the league leaders.

Here are the top five statistics from Saturday's encounter:

8 - Eden Hazard has had a hand in eight goals (four goals, four assists) in his last nine Premier League apps for Chelsea. Having scored each of his first 6 league goals this season at home the Belgian has now scored each of his last 3 away

4 - Not for the first time, Hazard emerged as the most creative player on the pitch. The 23-year-old recorded a joint-best two shots, while weighing in with more key passes (4) and successful dribbles (2). He also won a joint-highest two free-kicks.

5 - Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic has now scored five goals in his last six Premier League starts against Aston Villa, this goal ultimately proved the differential between the two sides. He has scored two more goals against the Midlands outfit than any other English top flight club.

659 - Aston Villa have now ended their run of 659 mins without a Premier League goal; the fourth worst goalless run in the competition's history. They have now netted 12 goals this term - fewer than any other club across the English professional divisions.

1 - Jores Okore's second half equaliser for the Villans was his first goal for the club. This strike came from his first shot on target in the Premier League this season; a timely finish. The 22-year-old becomes his side's fourth-joint top scorer, behind Andreas Weimann (3), Gabriel Agbonlahor (3) and Christian Benteke (2).
