Celtic progressed to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup with a 2-0 victory over Dundee away from home on Saturday.
Celtic maintained their impressive run of results in 2015 with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Dundee away from home in the Scottish Cup.
The Bhoys were favourites heading into the fifth-round tie at Dens Park, and they progressed into the quarter-finals of the competition without facing much problem.
Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring in Dundee after just seven minutes when he headed home, and Stefan Johansen wrapped up the win two minutes into the second half.
It was a very good performance from Celtic, who were easily the better side and could have won by far more comprehensive scoreline.
Ronny Deila’s side had 63% of the possession, had 19 shots of which seven were on target, and earned two corners.
On the other hand, Dundee had the ball for only 37% of the time, had just five shots of which two were on target, and earned themselves three corners.
After the match, Celtic duo Anthony Stokes and Jason Denayer took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win, with the former expressing his bemusement at being shown a yellow card during the game.
Could have been a few more today but great result! Don't know how I got a yellow by the way strange decision!— Anthony Stokes (@stoksey10) February 7, 2015
