Tottenham Hotspur-owned attacking midfielder Alex Pritchard’s goal saw Brentford defeat Leeds United 1-0 at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Brentford returned to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday when they got the better of Leeds United 1-0 away from home.

Mark Warburton’s side headed into the clash at Elland Road on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough last month.

The Bees bounced back in style, picking up all three points at a ground where it is not easy for the opposition.

The only goal of the game came in the 65th minute when Tottenham Hotspur-owned attacking midfielder Alex Pritchard found the target.

Statistically Brentford were the better team at Elland Road. The visitors had 57% of the possession, took 15 shots of which six were on target, and earned eight corners.

The win against Leeds has lifted Brentford up to fourth in the Championship table with 52 points from 29 matches, just five points behind leaders Bournemouth.

After the match, Brentford trio Jota Peleteiro, Stuart Dallas and Pritchard took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the triumph.
