Arsenal consider selling Jack Wilshere - report

The Daily Mail claim that the Gunners are weighing up the midfielder’s future at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are considering Jack Wilshere’s future at the club, with potential to sell the midfielder in the summer according to The Daily Mail.

The England international has been embroiled in a smoking scandal not for the first time recently, with the player’s behaviour off the pitch being questioned.

With Wilshere also currently injured and struggling for fitness in recent years, the Emirates Stadium faithful have not seen the best of their youth-team graduate in some time.

The report states that Arsenal would demand £25 million for the 23-year-old, with Liverpool and West Ham being named as potential suitors in the article.

Wilshere missed Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham in the North London derby yesterday and has only started seven of the Gunners’ Premier League games this season due to injury.

With the likes of Francis Coquelin, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla, Mathieu Flamini and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also battling for a place in the heart of Arsenal’s midfield, Wilshere is not guaranteed a place even if he is fit.

That said, given the 23-year-old’s ability when fit and the fact he has been with the club since he was a teenager, Wilshere leaving Arsenal this summer would be a major surprise.
