Trevor Sinclair on the three reasons he's excited about QPR again

A former Queens Park Rangers player has been looking ahead to the club's next Premier League encounter.

Today is the start of a new era for Queens Park Rangers as they begin life without former manager Harry Redknapp.

In previous seasons under Redknapp, this would have been about the time when supporters would be preparing themselves to see the latest batch of deadline day arrivals. But QPR were quiet in the final throes of the January transfer window - the biggest news being Redknapp’s departure shortly afterwards.

And now former QPR star Trevor Sinclair has taken to Twitter to express his excitement at this weekend’s match against Southampton.

Writing on the social media site on Saturday morning, the man who made 101 appearances for QPR revealed his joy at a new era, suggesting that not only was the match against the Saints huge, but that fans could be about to see a fresh approach and new faces under caretaker manager Chris Ramsey.

“Woke up genuinely excited about QPR,” Sinclair wrote. “Huge game, fresh approach and faces in our starting line-up?”

Only time will tell, but a few positive results could lift QPR swiftly up the table, and they will be looking to start this afternoon…
