Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has been singing the praises of teammate Alexis Sanchez on BT Sport.
Chile international forward Sanchez has been superb for the Gunners since joining them from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
The 26-year-old has scored 12 goals and created 56 chances in 21 Premier League appearances so far this season, while having a pass accuracy of 77% and a shot accuracy of 67%.
Spain international Cazorla is pleased to have Sanchez as his teammate and describes him as the signing of the season in the Premier League.
“He is a very important for us,” the 30-year-old told BT Sport during the Fletch & Sav show on Saturday morning. “For me, I think he is the best signing in the Premier League. We are lucky he plays for us.”
One can understand why Cazorla believes that Sanchez has been the best signing of the Premier League this season.
The former Udinese star has been immense for the North London outfit and has led the team on his own on many occasions.
Of course, Arsenal are not a one-man team, but there is little doubt that the Gunners would not be whether they are now in the Premier League table without Sanchez.
However, not many will agree with Cazorla’s assertion that the 26-year-old has been the best signing of the season.
Chelsea duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa have been immense. While the former has been key in the Blues’ midfield, the latter has been arguably the best striker in the league this season.
