The Arsenal players were training on Friday ahead of Saturday’s massive clash against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

The North London derby is one of the biggest in Europe, and one can expect a fiercely competitive game on Saturday.

The final outcome of the encounter could have a massive impact on the race for the top four in the Premier League this season.

Heading into this weekend’s round of matches in the Premier League, Arsenal find themselves fifth in the table with 42 points from 23 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Southampton and second behind only on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are currently sixth in the standings, just two points behind their fierce North London rivals Arsenal.

One of the players who will be under scrutiny at White Hart Lane is Theo Walcott. The England international forward is likely to start the encounter and could play a pivotal role.

The 25-year-old featured in the North London derby at the start of 2014, and Tottenham fans will remember his action at the time.

While being stretched off after suffering what proved to be a long-term injury, Walcott made a 2-0 gesture with his hands to reflect Arsenal's advantage in the game in front of the Tottenham fans.

One suspects that the Spurs supporters did not take kindly to that, but Walcott recently claimed that he has a good relationship with them.

“Me and the Tottenham fans have a good relationship in terms of the banter side of things,” the former Southampton star told The London Evening Standard.

It remains to be seen what reception Walcott gets from the Tottenham supporters on Saturday, but he seemed to be in a good mood in training on Saturday, as were his Arsenal teammates.
