Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is having a season to remember, and just when we thought he could not get any better, along comes a brace – including a late winner – against the club’s fierce rivals Arsenal.
Tottenham went behind on Saturday when Mesut Ozil scored for the Gunners, but Kane added to the 20 goals he had already scored this season, equalising in the 56th minute before scoring what proved to be the winner with just four minutes of normal-time remaining.
Kane is in blistering form and it shows no signs of stopping. In fact he appears to be getting even better and there is no telling how many goals he could score by the end of the campaign.
It is strange to think that until this weekend Kane had never scored in a North London derby, but the sight of him celebrating his first goal against Arsenal showed just how much it meant to him.
That he would ultimately break Arsenal hearts with a second makes this a day Tottenham’s new goal-scoring hero will never forget.
