Alex Pritchard would have been a happy boy on Saturday afternoon.
First, Tottenham's north London derby win over Arsenal would have brought a smile to the Brentford loanee's face. And then an even bigger smile formed when the 21-year-old won all three points for the Bees at Leeds United just hours later.
A disappointed Neil Redfearn warned his players after the match that they must up their game ahead of a trip to Reading on Tuesday night but the 49-year-old did say he felt both sides were equal at Elland Road.
Penalty decisions also went against Leeds, with a free-kick not being awarded against Brentford at a crucial time for Pritchard's goal.
But the 21-year-old Tottenham man won't be too bothered. He celebrated freely as he netted the winner for the visitors, capping a good day for Spurs and a disappointing one for Leeds.
Brentford now sit fourth in the Championship table and the hope might just be that the young midfielder is playing Premier League football next season whether he returns to Tottenham or stays with the Bees...
