The striker has been prolific since joining The Railwaymen.
Yesterday saw Crewe Alexandra defeat Colchester United in a League One relegation six pointer at Weston Homes Community Stadium. The Railwaymen won the game 3-2 and for Leeds United fans there was once again plenty of reason to be perplexed.
Once again Nicky Ajose found the back of the net for Crewe.
Ajose was signed by Leeds United in the summer but was not used by the club after Dave Hockaday's sacking, spending most of his time watching from the sidelines.
So he was allowed to join Crewe on loan at the end of November, on a deal until that was then extended until the end of the season in January.
Ajose has been a resounding hit in League One.
He scored the second of Crewe’s three goals on the day in a fantastic individual performance. His goal was his sixth in ten appearances for his loan club this season.
Six goals for Ajose means he has scored more goals than Leeds strikers Billy Sharp, Steve Morison and Souleymane Doukara this season with only Mirco Antenucci scoring more than him with eight - in a lot more appearances than Ajose has had at Crewe.
If he can continue this form then come next season a place in the Leeds side does not look beyond the 23-year-old.
