Harry Kane has spoken highly of the Tottenham Hotspur fans to BT Sport following the win against Arsenal on Saturday.
The England Under-21 international striker scored both goals as Spurs came from behind to get the better of their North London rivals 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
Mesut Ozil put the Gunners in the lead in the 11th minute, but Spurs launched a stirring second-half comeback to pick up all three points in front of the home fans.
Kane scored the equaliser in the 56th minute and found the winner four minutes from time to end what proved to be a fascinating encounter.
After the match, Kane thanked the Tottenham supporters and told BT Sport: "The fans were incredible, the atmosphere was like lightning and I will remember this for the rest of my career.
“My first London derby, and to win the way we did by digging deep, it's incredible. I probably won't sleep tonight."
The Tottenham fans were indeed superb on Saturday and gave their full support to the Tottenham players from start to finish.
The players, too, deserve praise for the way they came back into the game and did not allow Arsenal to overpower them.
Where does the win leave Tottenham?
Tottenham are now fourth in the Premier League table with 43 points from 24 matches - above bitter rivals Arsenal.
Although Mauricio Pochettino’s side will slip down if Southampton win this weekend, the victory will certainly give the players more confidence and belief heading into the final months of the season.
Over the years Spurs have found it tough to win against Arsenal, but on Saturday they showed that they can match the Gunners.
Tottenham are well on course for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
