David Gold's confident tweet ahead of West Ham - Manchester United

The Hammers host Manchester United in the Premier League later today.

David Gold was in typically confident mood on Twitter last night ahead of West Ham United's Premier League clash with Manchester United later today.

West Ham host United with their form having tailed off of late - although the east London side are still well in the mix at the right end of the table.

As such, Gold responded confidently to a fan who wasn't exactly relishing the Manchester United game on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Gold also defended West Ham's new sponsorship deal with Betway.

With regards to on-field matters, the West Ham co-chairman gave a mini-update on the fitness of Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho ahead of the Manchester United clash.

Gold is an avid tweeter and often spends evenings before matches exchanging posts with fans - as well as providing injury news.

The Hammers face United sitting eighth in the Premier League but can close the gap on the top four to just four points if they beat Louis van Gaal's side at Upton Park.

Heading into the fixture, West Ham have suffered an indifferent bout of results, losing their last game to Liverpool 2-0, although they beat Hull City 3-0 in their previous match.
