Swansea City will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League this afternoon when they take on Sunderland at home.
The Welsh outfit will head into the clash at the Liberty Stadium on the back of an astounding 1-0 victory over Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.
That victory saw Swansea return to winning ways in style after losing to Chelsea in the Premier League and to Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Swans are currently ninth in the Premier League table with 33 points from 23 matches, and will be pushing to close the gap between themselves and the top five.
Meanwhile, Sunderland find themselves 14th in the league table at the moment with 23 points from as many matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
Gus Poyet’s team will head into today’s match on the back of a 3-1 victory over Fulham away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Prior to that win at Craven Cottage, the Black Cats got the better of Burnley 2-0 at home in the league to resurrect their chances of survival in the Premier League.
