Confirmed: Sheff Wed v Cardiff lineups

Here is how Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City will line up for this afternoon’s match.

Sheffield Wednesday welcome Cardiff City to Hillsborough with just three places and four points separating the two sides in the Championship.

Cardiff’s record against Wednesday is an impressive one, with the Bluebirds winning the last four games between the sides, including the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.

That match finished 2-1 to the Welsh side but the two clubs’ recent form suggests this could go either way.

Wednesday have failed to win any of their last three matches – since a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest – while Cardiff have lost their last four games and are having an abysmal run on the road.

For the last time Cardiff won away from home you have to go back to November 29 when they defeated Watford.

Wednesday will be hoping their January signings start as they mean to go on, but they could well take time to settle in their new surroundings.
