Confirmed: QPR v Southampton lineups

Here is how Queens Park Rangers and Southampton will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Queens Park Rangers take to the field for the first time since the resignation of former manager Harry Redknapp.

Chris Ramsey is in caretaker charge and he will earn plenty of plaudits if he can inspire the side to a win against high-flying Southampton.

The Saints are currently fourth in the table but a win this afternoon will see them climb back up to third ahead of Manchester United.

With QPR losing three of their last four games against today’s opponents things do not look promising but their impressive recent home form suggests they could get something this afternoon.

Southampton have the best defence in the top flight and QPR’s strike-force will have to be at its best to break down a back-line that Ronald Koeman has improved despite the summer sales of Dejan Lovren and Luke Shaw.

A win for QPR could lift the out of the bottom three depending on how Hull get on at the Etihad Stadium.
