Brentford defeated Leeds United 1-0 at Elland Road this weekend.
Leeds United lost 1-0 to Brentford on Saturday to end what had been an impressive undefeated streak.
The only goal of the game came from Tottenham Hotspur loanee Alex Pritchard, who found the net 20 minutes into the second half.
While Brentford were the better team for large portions of the match, Leeds had chances and on another day they could have taken something from the game.
As it was, they were left to rue a late miss from Billy Sharp, who could not replicate his heroics from the previous weekend.
Back then Leeds defeated Huddersfield 2-1 to stretch their undefeated run to four matches but that has now ended following Pritchard’s latest goal in what has been a fine season for the young midfielder.
Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri did well to keep the visitors at bay for the first hour but the Italian stopper was ultimately beaten, and the Whites’ newest loan signing Edgar Cani could not snatch a goal during his five-minute cameo.
