Christian Eriksen has told Tottenham Hotspur's official website that his side cannot let their standards slip if they want to beat Arsenal.
Spurs have been in good form of late and hea into their game against the Gunners full of confidence, but Eriksen has warned that only their very best will suffice if they are to get a result.
“We’re looking forward to it, as I’m sure everyone at the club is, and it will be an exciting game,” he said.
“To be fair, both teams are in great form and have enjoyed some good results lately so that should make for a really nice match, although we will have to perform at 100 per cent if we are to beat them."
The match itself is one of the most hotly anticipated North London derbies in recent times, with both sides vying for a covated position in the top four.
Arsenal are two points ahead of Spurs as things stand, but a win for Mauricio Pochettino's side will put them ahead of their bitter rivals.
That would be a momentous step for them to take at this stage of the season, and the three points look will be hugely important in defining whether Tottenham will finally break into the Champions League spots come May.
Eriksen's role in the tie will be key, too. The Dane is Spurs' most talented attacking player, and his own form has been sensational in recent weeks.
The 22-year-old is already a fan favourite at White Hart Lane, and a match-winning performance against Arsenal will endear himself even further to the Tottenham supporters, who are desperate to see their team finally finish above their North London rivals.
