Tottenham Hotspur morning round-up: Pochettino admits he would have taken risk with squad

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Irish Examiner has quoted Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino on striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Adebayor nearly left the club on transfer deadline day earlier this week, but a move to West Ham fell through reportedly because Daniel Levy blocked the move.

The boss says he would have been happy to use two strikers in his squad over the rest of the season.

The Daily Mail has quoted the boss calling for fans to get off the back of the experienced striker.

Pochettino says it’s important that everyone is moving forward in the same direction to help the club achieve their goals by the end of the season.

Pochettino has been quoted by the Express suggesting that he’s an admirer of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Wenger has been a rival for Tottenham for nearly 20 years and the Argentine has nothing but admiration for the Frenchman.

Pochettino has suggested it’s not easy for a manager to stay at a club for an extend period as Wenger has done at the Gunners.
