Liverpool morning round-up: Rodgers ready to make a big call over Daniel Sturridge

Brendan Rogers Press Conference Smiling - 16/02/2014

A round up of news stories this morning related to Liverpool.

The Guardian suggests Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is considering bringing Daniel Sturridge back into the side for the game against Everton.

Rodgers has so far taken a sensible approach with Sturridge’s return from injury, giving him a chance off the bench against West Ham, where he scored.

He’s confirmed the forward isn’t far away from starting.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been quoted by BT Sport suggesting the FA Cup should be the priority for the club this season.

Liverpool made it through to the next round of the competition after beating Bolton 2-1 in their FA Cup replay earlier this week.

Mignolet claims the side need to try and go as far as they can in the competition after the nature of their late win over Neil Lennon’s team.

The Daily Mail has quoted Barcelona superstar Neymar suggesting Philippe Coutinho can become the best player in the Premier League.

The Brazilian scored a stunning goal earlier this week to help Liverpool to a win in their FA Cup replay against Bolton.

Neymar says he’s expecting to see a lot more from his international colleague.
