Jordan Henderson hails recent form of Liverpool team-mate Philippe Coutinho

The Brazilian recently scored the match winner against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup.

Liverpool had Philippe Coutinho to thank for their recent FA Cup win against Bolton Wanderers. The Brazilian tucked away a fantastic strike from range to win the game 2-1 on the night and send Liverpool through to the next round.

It was yet another excellent performance from the Brazilian, who is finally showcasing his best form for the club once again.

It has not gone unnoticed.

His midfield team-mate Jordan Henderson has been speaking to the official Liverpool site today and he has made it clear just how highly rated Coutinho is at Anfield. He said:

"When he first came to the club, everybody was excited by the potential of Philippe. You've seen him grow throughout the season, really step up to the plate and take control of games. He's been outstanding for us this season and is a real quality player. We're lucky to have him in this team...

"Hopefully he will keep growing and he will keep getting better - and if he does that, he will be world class."

Coutinho started his Liverpool career with a bang but injury problems and a recent dip in form had fans worried he was a flash in the pan player. But not he is back to his full fitness and playing in his preferred number 10 role the playmaker is getting the opportunity to work his magic even more, which is proving beneficial both for him and the club.

If he continues to play like this, he might just become Liverpool’s new star asset.
