Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that today’s North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal at White Hart Lane will end in a draw.
“I am going to draw for a 1-1 draw,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “I do think that these two sides are very evenly matched…
“I am going to go for Harry Kane to score the first goal. He is in sensational form at the moment, and the Arsenal defence are going to find it extremely difficult to stop him because he is full of confidence.
“I am going to go for a 1-1 draw - a point apiece in the North London derby.”
Will Harry Kane score?
As Redknapp points out, Kane has been in truly great form so far this season, and there is every reason for the Tottenham fans to believe that he will score against their fierce North London rivals.
The England Under-21 international striker has scored 20 goals in all competitions already this campaign, including 10 in the Premier League.
Two of those goals came in Spurs’ 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns last weekend, and one suspects that the youngster will be determined to find the target against Arsenal.
Will the derby end in a draw?
There is little to choose between the two North London rivals in terms of form at the moment.
Both registered comprehensive wins in the Premier League last weekend, and both are genuine contenders for a top-four finish.
Perhaps the timing of the opening goal will prove to be crucial in deciding the final outcome of the encounter…
