Gary Gardner relishing Nottingham Forest v Brighton & Hove Albion

Aston Villa-owned Gary Gardner is looking forward to Saturday’s Championship clash between Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to reveal that he is looking forward to Saturday’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion away from home.

Forest will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship when they take on the Seagulls at the The Amex.

The 22-year-old Gardner, who joined the Nottingham-based club on loan from Premier League outfit Aston Villa in the January transfer window, could feature in the game.

The youngster was on loan at Brighton in 2014 and has fond memories of playing for the Seagulls. He is now looking forward to returning to his former loan club, but he insists that he wants a Forest win.

Both Brighton and Forest are struggling for points and form in the Championship at the moment.

While Brighton are currently just two points and a place above the relegation zone in 21st, their visitors on Saturday are 12th in the standings, seven points above the bottom three.

Forest also have a new manager in charge. Dougie Freedman replaced the sacked Stuart Pearce at the City Ground earlier this month, and he will be keen to start his managerial career at one of England’s biggest clubs with a win.
