Marca have once more laid into the Welsh star’s perceived reluctance to pass in Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla.
Gareth Bale has been coming in for a world of criticism of late, with the former Tottenham star not having things his own way at Real Madrid in recent weeks.
The Wales international was booed at the weekend by the Santiago Bernabeu crowd in the side’s 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad for the second time this season.
Bale has been accused of being too selfish in possession, with the Welshman guilty this season of going for goal at times when team-mates are in better positions.
The flying winger was in the firing line in the Spanish media again this morning after Carlo Ancelotti’s men won 2-1 against Sevilla last night.
Marca have labelled Bale a ‘hogger’ in relation to his perceived reluctance to pass the ball, highlighting another example where the world’s most expensive player shot when he should have passed.
Bale was also the victim of boos at the Bernabeu for the third time this season, with fans clearly not thrilled with the prospect of the former Spurs hero stepping into the breach in suspended Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence.
With Manchester United continually linked with a summer move for the attacker, it will be very interesting to see how the rest of the campaign pans out for the Wales international.
