Hull City are reportedly happy to part fund Yannick Sagbo's wages to let him leave the club on loan.
The Hull Daily Mail has reported that the club are prepared to partially fund Yannick Sagbo’s wages to allow him to leave the club.
The paper claims that several clubs were interested in signing Sagbo during the January transfer window, but were out off by his current wage deal.
With the loan window set to open in the near future, the gesture could allow the player to head out on loan, play frequently, gain some form and maintain his fitness over the rest of the season.
He can then work hard on putting pressure on Steve Bruce when he returns to the club, whether it’s after a month or at the end of the season.
The Tigers are in a difficult position as they look to avoid the drop down into the Championship and it’s important the boss feels every single member of his squad if focused on achieving that aim.
Keeping him creates the obvious danger for Bruce of having an unmotivated player in his squad, which doesn’t help either the player or the club at a very crucial time in the season.
