Liverpool's Pedro Chirivella and Arsenal's Hector Bellerin named in Spain's top 10 'jewels'

Marca have tipped the Premier League pair to go on to star for the Spanish national team in the future.

Spanish sports newspaper Marca has named Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella and Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin on their list of 10 future stars of the national team.

Chirivella, 17 joined Liverpool from Valencia in the summer of 2013 for a bargain £200,000 fee, and has since gone on to impress in the UEFA Youth League this season.

Compared to former Anfield favourite Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid are said to be eager to bring him back to his homeland, per the Daily Mail, but the Spain Under-18 international remains an important part of manager Brendan Rodgers’ long-term plans.

Bellerin, meanwhile, signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2011 along the Barcelona teammate Jon Toral, following in the footsteps of fellow La Masia product Cesc Fabregas.

After making his senior debut in September 2013, the promising defender spent most of last winter on loan at Championship side Watford, before earning a spot in the first-team this term following the departures of Bakary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson.

Starting the campaign behind summer signings Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers in the pecking order, injuries to the pair have since seen him start the past two Premier League games, with his performances earning widespread praise.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville gave the teenager a glowing assessment this week, and now Marca have further recognised his potential with a place on their list of Spain’s top starlets along with Chirivella.

Manchester City striker Jose Angel Pozo, Racing Santander winger David Concha, Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper and new Real Madrid signing Marcos Asensio were also rewarded with a place on the list, along with teammate Borja Mayoral, Espanyol left-back Rube Duarte, Real Betis forward Dani Ceballos and Villarreal wide man Matias Nahuel.
