Celtic supporters take to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Kris Commons signing a new deal.

Kris Commons has signed a new contract with Celtic which will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2017.

The defending Scottish Premiership champions confirmed the new deal on their official website this afternoon.

Commons joined Celtic from English club Derby County in January 2011 and has since gone on to establish himself as a key player for the team.

So far in his Celtic career, the 31-year-old attacking midfielder has won the Scottish Premiership three times and the Scottish Cup twice.

Commons was also named the PFA Scotland Players’ Player of the Year and the SFWA Footballer of the Year in 2013-14.

The former Scotland international has made 175 appearances for Celtic, scoring 74 goals in the process, and is one of the most important players in the current team.

Following the announcement of Commons’s new contract, Celtic fans took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the club’s decision.
