Martin Keown has told the Daily Mail he is intrigued by one of Crystal Palace's January signings.
In what was a fairly quiet window for Premier League sides, Palace were the most active club - bringing in seven new players to strengthen their starting line-up.
It was their capture of Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United that caught Keown's eye the most, though, and the BBC pundit says he is interested to see how he will progress now he is back at Selhurst Park for good.
"Overall, it was a pretty flat window," he said. "The fact two of the main signings people were talking about involved players signing permanently for clubs they were already at – Ryan Bertrand at Southampton and Wilfried Zaha at Palace – tells you everything.
"It was quiet but it will be interesting to see how Zaha in particular gets on. He has gone back to where he is loved and his performances have been good in recent weeks."
Zaha has struggled since his move to Manchester United but is now back at Crystal Palace on a permanent deal and there is an expectation that he will fulfil his promise.
The youngster was one of the major reasons the Eagles got promoted to the Premier League back in 2013 and he should thrive again in a less pressurised environment.
There is a feeling that the move to Old Trafford occurred too early in his career to aid his development but Zaha has already shown signs he is edging closer to his optimum level back at Palace.
The jinking winger is well loved by fans of the London club and the warmth he feels from the supporters seems to draw his best performances out of him - although he is yet to produce consistently since returning to Crystal Palace on loan.
