The Bosnian was being linked with a loan move away from the club in January, but will stay and fight for a place in the English champions’ starting XI for the rest of the campaign.
Dzeko’s agent Irfan Radzipegic has revealed that his client spurned an opportunity to move to Galatasaray last year, while insisting that the former Wolfsburg man would only leave the Etihad Stadium for a top side.
“We haven’t received any offer from Fenerbahce,” the agent told Fanatik.
“Last year Roberto Mancini’s Galatasaray asked for him (Dzeko) on loan, but nothing came of it.
“Dzeko is 28-years-old and wants to play for the most prestigious teams in Europe. If he were to leave Manchester City he’d prefer a big club like Juventus or Atletico Madrid.”
Over the years the Bosnia international has netted some important goals for City but has struggled to maintain a starting berth in the side.
This term Dzeko has only started six Premier League games and scored just two goals, but he has been struggling with injuries.
Reports in the press of late are suggesting that Dzeko could well be removed from City’s Champions League contingent to make room for new signing Bony.
