Chelsea morning round-up: Injury blow for Fabregas ahead of next two games

A round up of morning news stories related to Chelsea.

The Guardian has reported that Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be out of action for the next two games.

The Spaniard is carrying a hamstring problem and Chelsea reportedly don’t want to take any risks with their key midfielder.

He picked up the problem during the second leg of the League Cup semi-final against Liverpool.

Former Chelsea star Andre Schurrle has told the Evening Herald he has no regrets about leaving the club.

Schurrle left in a big money deal for Wolfsburg on deadline day earlier this week, which allowed Juan Cuadrado to come into the club.

He says his spell at Chelsea helped him to become the better player he is today.

The Daily Star reports that the Premier League are planning to write to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho chose not to fulfil his press obligations following the FA’s decision to ban striker Diego Costa for three games after he stamped on Emre Can during a recent game against Liverpool.

He was also fined £25,000 last month when he suggested there was a campaign against his club.
