Tottenham Hotspur-owned Dele Alli has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month for January, as confirmed by Sky Sports.
The 18-year-old was in superb form for Milton Keynes Dons last month and helped them move up to second in the League One table.
The highly-rated midfielder earned a transfer deadline-day move to Tottenham, with Sky Sports reporting that the Premier League outfit had to pay as much as £5 million as transfer fee.
Alli, who was loaned back to MK Dons for the rest of the season, scored twice last month: one against Crawley Town away from home and one against Barnsley at Stadium mk.
The youngster has now been recognised for his heroics in January and is in the running for the prestigious League One Player of the Month award.
Will Alli win it?
While Tottenham and MK Dons supporters would love to see Alli win the honours, he will face some tough competition from Andy Butler, Tom Eastman and Tom Hopper.
Leicester City-owned Hopper scored as many as four goals for Scunthorpe United last month, helping them pull away from the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Butler was immense for Doncaster Rovers in central defence, helping them remain unbeaten in January and enhancing their chances of a securing a playoff spot.
Defender Tom Eastman could also win the League One Player of the Month award due to his performances for Colchester United.
Alli seems to have a tough competition on his hands.
